Amendment to the Fairfax County One-Year Action Plan for Fiscal Year 2022 (Federal Fiscal Year 2021)
Fairfax County received an award of $7.88 million in HOME Investment Partnerships Program (HOME)-American Rescue Plan (ARP) funding from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development to address homelessness assistance and supportive services. In order to put those funds to use, the County is opening a period of public comment – beginning at 8 a.m. on Wednesday, February 8, 2023 and running through 4 p.m. on Friday, March 10, 2023 – to review and provide feedback on:
Amending the One-Year Action Plan for Fiscal Year 2022 to include the Proposed HOME-ARP Allocation Plan regarding the County’s proposed use of the HOME-ARP funding.
The proposed substantial amendment consisting of the Proposed HOME-ARP Allocation Plan can be accessed online at www.fairfaxcounty.gov/housing/data/HOME-ARP-Allocation-Plan.
Physical copies of this plan will also be made available for review at the information desks at the Fairfax County Government Center (12000 Government Center Parkway, Fairfax), the Gerry Hyland Government Center (8350 Richmond Highway, Alexandria), the Department of Housing and Community Development (3700 Pender Drive, Fairfax), and each Fairfax County Public Library branch. Please note that, due to COVID-19, these public facilities may have alternative hours or levels of access. We strongly encourage the use of the online version of this document for review.

Board of Supervisors is expected to take action on this proposed amendment at its board meeting on Tuesday, March 21, 2023. The meeting begins at 9:30 a.m. and will be televised on cable Channel 16 and streamed online at www.fairfaxcounty.gov.
