ServiceMaster Encourages Angel Tree Participation

The Salvation Army is helping children this Christmas through their Angel Tree program and want you to know how you can help. ServiceMaster NCR is supporting the Angel Tree initiative throughout the community.

Angel Tree is a personalized holiday assistance program in which an individual sponsor or group sponsor purchases new toys and clothing for children (or “Angels”) in need.

Angel Tree is designed to be an employee engagement campaign. While some companies use part of their general philanthropic budget to purchase toys, most businesses simply ask employees to participate. Many departments come together and the initiative is entirely staff driven.

You can sponsor Angels “traditionally” by shopping in-person and dropping off at our warehouse. We can electronically send your Angel Tree tags and you can ship gifts directly to our warehouse. Or you can also choose to support via gift card or even just purchase toys in bulk and send straight to our warehouse!

If employees come together and adopt 40 or more Angels, then Salvation Army partners with Interstate Moving to provide a free pick-up from your office. If you all get to the 100 Angel mark, then you are publicly recognized on our website and social media for the whole season, as well as on a televised banner during our Gathering of Angels when the Angel Tree Warehouse opens.

For smaller scale involvement, you can even adopt a handful of Angels and create an Amazon Wishlist for the toys to come to your office, and then your team sorts the toys for each child!

Thanks to support from groups like yours last year, over 11,000 DC area children received presents for the holidays.
