Since 2006, the Northern Virginia Regional Commission (NVRC) has supported local businesses, facility, and property managers with a website and training on commonly generated hazardous materials, such as lamps, electronics, batteries, and other items including aerosol cans, solvents, and pesticides.
NVRC has recently updated our Know Toxics website, www.knowtoxics.com, which offers information and resources on how to identify, manage, and contract for safe disposal of these items, including a list of vendors who can provide services for collection and disposal.
