Public Hearing on Manufactured Housing Grant

The Department of Housing and Community Development (HCD) is applying for the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development’s (HUD) This grant is to preserve and revitalize manufactured housing units and Manufactured Housing Communities (MHCs). If awarded, the grant can support the MHCs and advance the goal of preserving affordable housing in Fairfax County.

 

The county’s draft application for the PRICE Main Competition outlines the proposed activities to be funded through the PRICE Main Competition. If approved, the funding will support such activities as the repair, rehabilitation, and replacement of existing units; infrastructure improvements; planning and resilience activities; resident and community services; and land acquisition by the manufactured housing tenants and homesite renters.

 

The PUBLIC comment period commenced on May 6, 2024, and will run until May 21, 2024.  The draft PRICE Main application can be accessed online at https://www.fairfaxcounty.gov/housing/public-comments-price-grant for review and comment prior to submission.  All comments must be received by 4:30 p.m., on May 21, 2024. A Board of Supervisors’ public hearing on the county’s application is scheduled for May 21, 2024, at 4:30 PM in the Board Auditorium, 12000 Government Center Parkway, Fairfax, VA 22035.
